As it has been communicated last month, a new version of the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) – Core 1.10, has been released on June 7th, 2022.

The new functionalities introduced by this new version had as main objective the improvement of the End-Users experience with the NMVS. Thus, we are talking about: the introduction of a parameter for double decommissioning, the filling in with new fields of web services used by software providers and the addition of a visual indicator in the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The OSMR team wanted the new elements brought by Core 1.10 to be tested locally, thus ensuring an enhanced system performance, time efficiency for transactions and finally, a better End-User experience.

Therefore, on June 16th, a session for testing the system has been organised, with representatives from two software providers companies:  Setrio Soft SRL si High Tech System & Software SRL (HTSS) and three colleagues from OSMR (Business Analyst & QA Software Coordinator, Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, Account Specialist).

During the session, functional manual tests were performed, focusing on the new changes of the NMVS covering, but not limited to, the following:

  • The validation of the exceptions’ changes in the medicines’ decommissioning flow;
  • The validation of the implementation of visual indicators for the return on the decommissioning transactions (undo);
  • The testing of the implementation of a new search/filtering field for End-Users Locations’ Administrators.

OSMR would like to thank the two software companies (Setrio Soft SRL and HTTS) that participated to the testing of the system’s new functionalities, for the time and effort made during the testing session and for the open communication which is essential for the system’s continuous improvement.
