As we are eager to see what novelties 2025 will bring, we take a look at some of last year’s accomplishments: new versions of the system’s roll-out: NMVS Core 4.0 & Reporting Tool 4.0 and NMVS Core 5.0 & Reporting Tool 5.0, the latter having Romania as the Pilot Country for the release. We also mention: a series of animations – an informative series which highlights different types of alerts within the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) and their main causes and the face to face gathering with the software providers.
As in previous years, we would like to share with you the yearly graphic illustrating the 2024 activity in the NMVS, meaning the total number of transactions performed by the End-Users and the alerts that have been generated in the system.
If in 2023 the percentage of alerts generated by the Romanian End-Users was the lowest registered, with the last 3 months of the year showing a consecutive 0,02% percentage rate, last year’s activity managed to surpass that, with almost all the months having a 0,02% percentage rate.
The focus for 2025 is on continuing to share with the public the importance of having a medicine verification system as a fundamental basis for a safe and reliable pharmaceutical environment. And also, to further develop other possible purposes of the system about which there are already discussions, such as measures for improving the control of expenses with compensated medicines.
