A new version of the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) has been rolled out yesterday, June 7th, 2022.
The novelty elements brought by this new release include: the introduction of a parameter for double decommissioning, the filling in with new fields of web services used by software providers and the addition of a visual indicator in the NMVS Graphical User Interface (GUI).
The aim of these new elements is to improve the experience of the End-Users with the NMVS, as well as to reduce the number of alerts generated by the system.
The double decommissioning parameter refers to the introduction of a 10-day interval during which an End-User can repeat the same decommissioning action twice without generating an alert in the NMVS. The third attempt will generate a level 5 alert in the NMVS.
The visual indicator added to the NMVS Graphical User Interface (GUI) offers the End-Users the ability to check if they can operate again on the decommissioning transaction without generating an alert.
Mid-June is the deadline for the deployment of NMVS-Core 1.10 in all the countries using Arvato Systems as the blue-print provider of the medicines verification system. This system’s new version deployment has been coordinated by OSMR, more precisely by Mr. Livius Carp, nominated as Release Captain for NMVS Core 1.10.
