OSMR would like to remind all End-Users – pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers – that all applications through which the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) is accessed must provide users with access to all transactions available in the NMVS, corresponding to their respective End-User category.
Access to all relevant transactions is essential to enable End-Users to carry out their activities and fulfil, at all times, their legal obligations regarding the verification and decommissioning of medicinal products.
Therefore, the available transactions should also include, for example:
- G130 Destroy Single Pack – marks a pack as “destroyed” by scanning it.
- G132 Manual Destroy Single Pack – marks a pack as “destroyed” by manually entering its identification data.
- G150 Sample Single Pack – deactivates the pack in the system and marks it as a free sample.
- G152 Manual Sample Single Pack – deactivates the pack in the system and marks it as a free sample.

We recommend that you check with the provider of the application used to access the NMVS that all transactions relevant to your End-User category are available.
