We are pleased to announce an important development within the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS): the implementation of the National Alert Management System (NAMS), now available to all End-Users in Romania – pharmacies, wholesalers and hospitals.

Developed by Arvato, the NMVS provider, NAMS builds on extensive system expertise and a strong understanding of the regulatory framework, with the aim of improving alert management activities for all stakeholders.

We encourage all End-Users to start familiarizing themselves with this new system, as NAMS will become the official communication channel between End-Users, OSMR and the National Competent Authority (ANMDMR).

How to access NAMS

End-Users can connect to NAMS via the internal application, using the same credentials as for NMVS and the same digital certificate.

What changes with NAMS?

NAMS introduces a more efficient and transparent way of managing alerts:

  • Alerts viewed in real time
  • Add comments, supporting documents, or photos directly in the system
  • Apply the correct resolution for each alert
  • View all alerts, including history and status update

The architecture of NAMS represents a significant improvement compared to the current workflow, which relies mostly on weekly alerts reports. With NAMS, alerts can be managed on a daily basis, enabling faster resolution and a better overview.

By streamlining alert management and improving response time, NAMS will contribute to:

  • Increased operational efficiency
  • Better collaboration between stakeholders
  • A gradual reduction in the number of alerts
  • Ultimately, enhanced patient safety
