As we had previously announced, Romania was the Pilot country for the implementation of the latest National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) Releases – Core 3.0 & Reporting Tool 3.0.

This meant that in the time interval: September 25th and October 6th , a series of tests were undergone locally, both in the test and in the Production (PROD) environment, leading to a complete validation of the system.

Our colleague, Dan Visoiu – IT Consultant – member of the European Technical Working Group, oversaw the local testing, which resulted in functional and non-functional issues that have been reported and acknowledged and will be addressed in future versions.

New elements brought by these latest versions are:

  • An improvement in the overall system’s security;
  • Customisation of alerts for packs originating from Great Britain (following Brexit), both for a more precise identification and for eliminating the possibility of false alerts;
  • New Reports for the Authorities.

After the validation, releases Core 3.0 & Reporting Tool 3.0 have been implemented one by one in the other countries that have Arvato as the system’s software provider.
