{"id":8179,"date":"2026-06-10T08:43:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T08:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/osmr.ro\/?p=8179"},"modified":"2026-06-10T08:53:48","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T08:53:48","slug":"voci-ale-colaborarii-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/osmr.ro\/en\/voci-ale-colaborarii-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Voices of Collaboration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this edition of our <strong>Voices of Collaboration<\/strong> series, we highlight how professional collaboration across borders can contribute to stronger systems &#8211; and, at times, lead to meaningful personal connections.<\/p>\n<p>We are pleased to feature the collaboration between <strong>Livius Carp, Operations Manager at OSMR<\/strong>, and <strong>Peter Berger-Piascek, Operations Manager at the Austrian Medicines Verification Organisation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Their working relationship developed naturally, driven by a shared technical background, a strong sense of responsibility, and a common goal: the continuous improvement of the National Medicines Verification Systems.<\/p>\n<p>Both Livius and Peter are actively involved in the <strong>European Technical Working Group<\/strong>, a platform that brings together specialists from across Europe to address technical challenges, share expertise, and contribute to the ongoing development of the European Medicines Verification System (EMVS).<\/p>\n<p>Through this collaboration, they work on identifying solutions, improving system performance, and ensuring that the verification infrastructure remains robust, efficient, and aligned with the needs of all stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Their contribution reflects the importance of <strong>cross-border cooperation<\/strong> in maintaining a system that protects patients by preventing falsified medicines from entering the legal supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the technical dimension, their collaboration has also evolved into a genuine professional friendship &#8211; highlighting an often-overlooked aspect of working within a dynamic European network: the human connections that make collaboration more effective and meaningful.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cCollaboration across countries allows us to learn from each other and continuously improve the system for the benefit of patients across Europe.\u201d<\/em> \u00a0&#8211; Peter<\/p>\n<p>As Livius notes:<br \/>\n<em>\u201cWorking closely with colleagues across Europe not only helps us solve complex technical challenges, but also builds trust and a shared sense of purpose.
