OSMR has ensured that the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) is fully functional, creating thus the technical environment for a secured market which prevents the entry of falsified medicinal products into the legal supply chain.
\nAs the image below shows, the number of alerts raised by the NMVS has been significantly reduced by the end of 2020.
\nBehind these numbers lies incredible effort and dedication showed not only by the OSMR team and collaborators, but also by all the stakeholders involved in this process: manufacturers of medicinal products, wholesalers, pharmacists from community pharmacies, hospitals and other medical centres, software providers, without whose excellent collaboration everything would have been in vain.
\nThe goal for 2021 is to further diminish the number of false alerts generated by NMVS and to continually improve the system, ensuring thus patients\u2019 safety through medicines\u2019 safety.<\/p>\n
